Stepping Up for Education: OSD Donates to Lantana Primary School

January 2023

At OSD, we know that education is one of the most powerful tools for building a brighter future—and that no child should be held back because of a lack of basic necessities. That’s why, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, we donated 40 pairs of school shoes, socks, and sling bags to the learners of Lantana Primary School.

These items may seem simple, but to many children, they represent comfort, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Walking into class with a new pair of shoes or carrying their books in a proper bag helps learners focus on what truly matters—gaining knowledge, participating in school activities, and dreaming big.

This donation is part of our ongoing mission to uplift the communities we serve and invest in the potential of our youth. We believe that every small act of kindness contributes to a larger wave of positive change.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lantana Primary for the opportunity to be part of their learners’ journey. Together, let’s continue creating a future where every child has the chance to thrive.

OSD Gives Back: A Heartfelt Feeding Initiative for Cape Town's Orphanages

November 2023

As part of our ongoing commitment to social responsibility, OSD recently had the privilege of engaging with the local community through a meaningful feeding initiative. We’re proud to have prepared and delivered 100 hot dogs to two of Cape Town’s most respected orphanages—Christene Revell Children’s Home and SA Children’s Home.

This initiative was an opportunity for our team to show compassion and solidarity with children in need, offering a warm meal and a moment of joy to those who need it most. The hot dogs were prepared with care, ensuring each meal provided both nourishment and a sense of community spirit.

At OSD, we believe in making a difference where we can, and through our CSR activities, we strive to support the well-being of vulnerable groups in our society. We hope this small act of kindness brought smiles to the faces of the children at these two homes and helped brighten their day.

Giving Back to the Future: OSD’s Donation to Primary School Bokmakierrie

Walking with Purpose: OSD Supports Sandhills NGK Primêre Skool

As part of our commitment to uplifting communities through meaningful action, OSD proudly donated 20 pairs of school shoes and sling bags to the learners of Sandhills NGK Primêre Skool.

OSD’s Community Outreach: Feeding Over 200 People in Schaapskraal

August 2024

In another heartwarming demonstration of our commitment to making a tangible impact, OSD recently partnered with the Jabulani Organization to provide meals to those in need within the Schaapskraal informal settlements. As part of our CSR initiatives, we donated 3 x 100-litre pots of food, which were used to serve over 200 individuals in the community.

This donation was a critical step in helping to address food insecurity in the area, providing warm, hearty meals to those who often struggle to access basic resources. Our team worked alongside Jabulani to ensure that the food was distributed efficiently and with care, bringing nourishment and comfort to the people of Schaapskraal.

At OSD, we understand the importance of supporting communities in need, especially during times of hardship. Through initiatives like this, we are able to help uplift and support vulnerable individuals, and we’re proud to play a small part in making a positive difference in their lives.

Empowering Young Learners: OSD Donates to Bokmakierie Primary School

At OSD, we remain dedicated to supporting education and nurturing the potential of our future leaders. In line with our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, we donated 37 sets of school shoes and school bags to the learners of Bokmakierie Primary School.

We believe that when learners are equipped with the right tools—no matter how small—they are better positioned to thrive. A new pair of shoes and a sturdy school bag can instill pride, boost confidence, and remove one more barrier to accessing quality education.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to making a positive, lasting impact in the communities we serve. We are deeply grateful to Bokmakierie Primary for allowing us to play a small role in the lives of their learners and look forward to walking further alongside them in the future.

Spreading Joy and Kindness: OSD Donates Snack Packs to Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre

At OSD, we believe that small gestures can make a big difference—especially when it comes to caring for our communities. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, we visited the Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre and donated 100 snack packs to all the children and dedicated staff members.

This initiative was about more than just treats—it was our way of bringing smiles, showing appreciation, and reminding these young individuals and their caregivers that they are seen, valued, and supported.

We are inspired by the incredible work done at the centre and were truly humbled by the warm welcome we received. It was a day filled with joy, connection, and shared hope for a brighter future.
